Ashley Gilliam
Ashley Gilliam, a December 2018 graduate of Tullahoma High School, was a standout member of the school’s Women’s Golf Team with an impressive record of accomplishments. She was a Drive, Chip and Putt National Finalist in both 2014 and 2015, finishing 3rd overall each year. From 2016 to 2018, she was a member of the Tennessee Junior Cup, earning MVP honors for Team East in 2018, and in 2017, she helped lead her team to a USGA Women’s State Team Championship. Individually, she captured the Tennessee Girls Junior Amateur Championship in both 2017 and 2018, breaking her own record in 2018 for the lowest total score in the 54-year history of the event. That same year, she was named Tennessee Golf Association Women’s Player of the Year, a Rolex Junior All-American, and the Tullahoma News Female Athlete of the Year.
In 2018, Gilliam advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Girls Junior, qualified for the US Women’s Amateur(advancing to the Round of 64), and competed in the US Women’s Four Ball (advancing to the Round of 32). She also won the TSSAA Region 4AAA and District 8AAA Individual Championships, earning both All Mid-State and All-District honors. Throughout her career, she became a two-time American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Championand a three-time Tennessean Schooldays Champion. Following her exceptional high school career, Ashley signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Mississippi State University in 2019.
