Adam Dawkins
Adam and his wife Jana, live in Madison Alabama with their two daughters. Adam is a Group Leader with Mazda Toyota.
Russell Crosswy
After graduating from Tullahoma high school in May 2001, Russell attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and graduated Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelors of
Science in Engineering (BSE) degree with a major in Electrical Engineering. While at UAH his senior year, Russell ran with the newly formed men's varsity track team.
He married Jennessa in 2007 and they have two boys, Tyce and Wade. In 2019, Russell graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Professional Master's in Applied Systems Engineering (PMASE) degree.
Russell and his family live in Madison, AL where he enjoys coaching his two boys in various sports: soccer, football, track, and wrestling. Most recently, Russell has coached his sons in their respective youth and middle/high school wrestling club programs.
Tavarus Taylor
Tavarus graduated Tullahoma High School, 2001. Attended Middle Tennessee State University, graduating with a BS in Communications and Media Studies. He also attended Walden University, graduating with a Masters degree in Management with a specialty In Strategic Ops.
Mr. Taylor is the founder & CEO of TNT Commercial Services 615 in Nashville TN, delivering excellence in Commercial Project Management. With unwavering determination and a vision for a brighter future,TNT Commercial Services 615 was not just a business endeavor but a platform for giving back to the community in profound and impactful ways. The company has been able to support and empower organizations that championed true diversity and inclusivity. As TNT Commercial Services 615 flourishes, it has become a beacon of hope and inspiration, embodying the values of compassion, integrity, and community support. It was not just aboutprofits and success but about making a positive difference within our Middle Tennessee community. They strive to meet goals the right way. 1990 State Champion 100 meters
Mario Braston
Mario Braston was the 1990 State Champion in the 100 meters run with a record of 11.1 seconds. He graduated from Tullahoma High School and MTSU with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. Has also completed graduate studies at Bethel University. He is currently employed at Glencliff High School.
Nashville teaching physical education and weight training and coaches the boy’s basketball and track and field teams. Mr. Braston has extensive coaching and teaching experience including Coached Glencliff Boys Basketball Team to Regional Tournament, 2023 and 2024positions with Franklin County and Tullahoma High Schools with varsity and junior varsity basketball. In 2015, he led the Franklin County girls track team to a district championship. Mr. Braston began his teaching career at West Middle School achieving multiple championships with boys basketball. He is a member of the National Education Association and Tennessee
Athletic Coaches Association and is a recipient of the M.L. King Achiever’s Award and the Stanley Hall Academic Scholarship.

Volleyball and Basketball
Mary Rickman Dayton
Mary Rickman Dayton was around sports her entire life, since her dad was a PE teacher, basketball and track coach at East Middle School. She played basketball and ran track while in
middle school. In high school, she played basketball, ran track, then began volleyball her junior year. Her senior year, the volleyball team won the district championships where she was voted Tournament MVP. The basketball team also made it to the 2nd round of the regionals this same year. She was voted All-District her junior and senior years in both volleyball and basketball.
Mary received the Bob Hammers Female Athlete of the Year award in 1987 and 1988. She was voted the Most Athletic Superlative for the Class of 1988.Although Mary was being recruited for basketball, she accepted a full scholarship to play volleyball at MTSU. She was a 2-time All-Conference player and was the first at MTSU to reach 1,000 kills. She kept the kills record for 11 years until it was broken in 2004. Records kept from 1977-2000, known as the “Sideout Scoring Era”, she is 1st in kills, 2nd in digs and service aces and top 10 in blocks. Part of her sophomore season, she also played basketball and high jumped in one indoor track meet.
Mary is currently in her 32nd year of teaching and coaching in Rutherford County. She began her teaching career at Riverdale High School, then went on to open Blackman and Stewarts Creek High Schools, where she was the PE Department Chair. She has mentored many student
teachers and still enjoys teaching PE and Health today.
Mary has seen success coaching volleyball. While at Riverdale High School, her first team won the district championship. While only being open for 4 years at Blackman High School, her team was back-to-back State Runner Up. They were the first team sport at BHS to make it to any state tournament. While at Stewarts Creek High School, her team earned district, regional and sectional titles and she was voted Coach of the Year 3 times.
Other coaching accomplishments include being selected twice to Coach in the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (TACA) East-West All-Star Game. Mary then became a member of the TACA All-Star Selection Committee for 13 years. She currently works as the color commentator for the TSSAA State Volleyball Championships on the NFHS Network, which she has done so for the last 14 years. Mary was instrumental in starting club volleyball in the Murfreesboro area. She eventually joined forces with her beach doubles partner to begin the Rutherford County Juniors. In 2010, Mary stepped away from being a director and club coach to raise her children. Eventually the club was renamed to Mid Tenn and is still going strong today. Mary is back coaching the 18’s team.
Mary is currently living in Murfreesboro, TN. She is the daughter of John and Barbara Rickman and the sister of Chris and Mark. She has a daughter, Marcy, and a son, Zach.

2001 State Champion 300M Low Hurdles
Chris Harrington
Chris Harrington was the 2001 State Champion 300 Meters Low Hurdles 38.0 seconds. During his career at Tullahoma High School, Chris also participated in the 110 meter hurdles and was a member of the 2001 State Champion 1600 meter relay team. He went on to attend the University of T ennessee at Chattanooga where he was a member of the indoor Distance Medley Relay team and participated in the 55 meter and 400 meter hurdles and the outdoor 110 meter and 400m meter hurdles. During his time at UTC, Chris became the first athlete in SoCon history to win 3 straight hurdle titles and was the UTC record holder in 400m relay. Chris graduated from Tullahoma in 2001. He went to University of T ennessee at Chattanooga. He graduated top of his class earning Outstanding Senior award with a degree in Sports Administration including a Minor in Business Administration and Minor in Entrepreneurship in 2005. He has been employed with State Farm for 19 years. Chris resides in Murfreesboro, TN with his wife, Mandy, daughter Jansen and son Ellis.

Coach and Volunteer
Lamont Snipes
Lamont Snipes is a proud Tullahoma sports volunteer and supporter for more than 50 years. Mr. Snipes was the first African-American to receive the Keller Award at Tullahoma High School in 1967. In 1988 he was appointed head coach at West Middle School in girls basketball only losing 7 games in nine years. He also coached softball, track and basketball at Tullahoma High School. In 2013, Mr. Snipes was appointed Head Coach of the Tullahoma Bowling Team leading them to their first State appearance in 2021. Snipes coached both the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats for nine seasons, capturing
several district and region titles as well as four TSSAA State Tournament appearances. Mr. Snipes and his wife, Darlene reside in Tullahoma.

1968 State Champion 120 Yard High Hurdle
Rick Moore
Rick L. Moore was the 1968 State Champion in the 120 Yard High Hurdle with a record of 14.6 seconds. Rick was a member of the first Tullahoma High School track team of 1966, coached by Milner Carden and led the team in total points scored in 1966.1967 and 1968. During his track career, Rick competed in the 120-Yard-High Hurdles (110 Meters), 180-yard Low Hurdles, Relays, High Jump and Long Jump and was the Middle Tennessee Regional Champion High
Hurdles in 1966, 1967, 1968, District 2 Champion Low Hurdles in 1966, 1967, 1968. Rick also lettered in football in 1965, 1966 and 1967 and was awarded the Lions Club Sportsmanship
award in 1967. Rick loved coaching and coached T-Ball, Little League and Girls Softball. He began coaching soccer in 1985 and continued for over 36 years. He coached boys’ and girls’ teams in recreation league, travel teams as well as middle school. Rick and Jeff Prestwich attained the National C
License from the United States Soccer Federation in 1995; and coached 3 state championship teams in the Tennessee State Soccer Association: U-16 Division 3 in 1994-95 (also won the Sportsmanship award); U-17 Division 2 in 1995-96 (also won the Sportsmanship award) and U-18 Division 2, in 1996-97. After his children graduated from high school, Rick returned to coaching recreation league soccer players from U-10 to U-18.
